Thanks guys for all you positive comments and remarks about the bike and my back yard, and about coming back. I'll pop in more often. The Silver streak took me around 5 years to complete with 10minutes here, ½ hour there, and she really has had all her nuts and bolts turned

I'm doing a shapeup of my 750 Targa just now. Not a full restore just a good polish, new gaskets, rubber parts, painting the lower rails, and new but original valve cowers. On the Targa the were originally black. She handles a lot better on the freeway, and feels safer than the Lario, but on the small curvy back roads the Lario will run circles around her, due to the small wheel base.
On all my bikes I try to stay close to stock to stay close to Guzzi history, but sneaking in various improvements if Guzzi did a sloppy job, and they often did in the 80's and 90's. Got a lot better in the 90's though.
If they loved their bikes as much as we do, they would have used better materials back then. Happy they now have a motto in Mandello: "if we cannot do it right, we do not do it at all".
Have a great Sunday guys!

Ciao
