Trundled out to this annual affair earlier in the year in my pommie mates huge Landrover.

There were things of beauty;

There was Guzzi Content (also a thing of beauty)

There were things fondly remembered

Things Old

Quite a lot of them, including the one newly birthed on the left.

Other displays of various types

And then there was this!

Better detail

Neither old nor beautiful, but very interesting.
Someone simply has too much time on their hands.
It worked just fine incidentally.

It was a hot day.

Changed the heading to more accurately indicate the 'direction of travel' as it were.

A steam powered cycle would clearly be an engine-cycle, as they are steam engines, not steam motors!

Might be an application for a Stirling engine.

Interesting, fun design.

But then we use gasoline engines, not gasoline motors.

You are correct, sir - and sadly, we are all both currently and historically inaccurate.

Then again, back when 'moto-cycles' were first created and named, most people had never seen an electric motor!  :thumb:

Well, "motor" comes from the Latin "moto", meaning "I set in motion", so maybe everyone is accurate and correct.

I ride and own "Italiano moto".   "enginecycle" doesn't sound right.

And the first one was steam driven, if it was actually built.   I went looking for a pic and didn't find one. Found a plethora of other stuff about steam bicycles though.
