Hi All
I'm a fairly new Guzzi owner so this is very much a large learning curve.
Bike wise, I bought my 1952 AJS way back in 1971 and restored her again recently, running club plates in South East Queensland.
So my knowledge of mechanicals is reasonable... until The V65 came along.
She had Piranha Ignition on when purchased, ran well but very untidy and with a lot of electrical baggage...
I have replaced the dead ignition switch, removed the PO two dead man cutout switches and generally tidied up.
But found I had no charge... lots of time later found some disconnected wires and plugged them back in the rectifier, all good and voltage as expected.
Unfortunately, when I replaced the front alternator cover, some of the wiring behind got caught in the rotating disc of the ignition and destroyed the wires and glass sensors - hence the new Dyna S.
The fitting instructions leave a lot to the imagination regarding timing, no marks at all on the back plate...
But my concern is the rotating advance/retard mechanism is rubbing on the back of the sensor plate...
I can't see anywhere to adjust anything, so hoping these pics will give you an idea what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers, Gray.

Dyna S module fitted but not set for timing.

Shaft showing drive pin (locates correctly in the slot) and collar behind.

A/R mechanism fitted, central tube extends approx 3mm past the end of the shaft, locks up tightly with bolt and washer.
