Fuel Gauge
« on: June 25, 2016, 07:38:15 PM »
Did anyone ever make a fuel gauge for a 2001 Cali? My trip meter doesn't reset and I have low fuel anxiety all the time.
I even thought of installing one of those little cheep Chinese bicycle speedos that has a trip meter but now with Brexit I don't know. Plus that would be so tacky. Maybe medication....

Yea, medication!! After working on junk Guzzi's all day, I'm ready.

There is a low fuel lite on your bike, the sensor is by the petcock. The electric plug is up under the tank, just lift up the back of tank it will flop out.

What??? Does this light do a bulb check when you turn on the ignition? Its the very bottom bulb in the dash, isn't it? Do you know how much fuel is left when the light comes on?

I feel so much better now

Till you get around to it - a grease pencil on the speedo works for me... Well, until it's a hundred and eleventy seven degrees here in Arizona I guess.

Lite is only on when it's low, mine is 1 1/2 gal left.

It does NOT do a bulb check. You have a 4.7 gallon tank. The light should start to glow around 3.3 gallons used. Or 1.4 gallons left.
