Around 1988 or so, I saw a great show at the Warner Theater in DC.  Acoustic Hot Tuna opened.  That was Jorma Kaukonen and Paul Kantner playing acoustic guitars, and they were great, of course, but not really thrilling.  It was cool seeing the core of Jefferson Airplane though.  Johnny Winter was the headline act, but Roy Buchanan was between those bands.  When Acoustic Hot Tuna left and the stage setup changed, Roy came strolling out with his band backing him, doing an instrumental version of Rock and Roll.  Of course it was amazing, and he continued with a great but too-short set.  Johnny came out and was in his prime then, playing for two hours straight, with his skinny little fingers burning up the fretboard on his Erlewine Lazer headless guitar.  It may have been the best set of blues rock I've ever seen.  But Roy looking almost bored, playing such a vigorous and excellent version of Rock and Roll on that Telecaster was one of the best moments from that night.

I guess this girl was too young to have been there that night, although she's giving it a decent go, and I wish her the best.

Weak argument. I remember calling John MacEnrow(sp) a douchebag and the response was "yeah- let's see you play tennis that well".  Just because a person may not possess the same particular talent does not mean they cannot offer valid critique.  The fact is- her boobs will get her further than her guitar playing.

Who you NEED to be checking out is this, her name is Gretchen Menn and she is a full on legitimate professional guitarist/musician and also happens to play guitar for the all female Zeppelin tribute Zepperalla, and is also obviously wonderfully attractive

Tremendous jazz guitarist in the same league with Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino. Tragically short career.

It is also worth noting that just last week or so Led Zeppelin won their court case over the plagiarisation of Stairway to Heaven against the ESTATE of Spirit guitarist Randy California (who's been dead since '97, mind you), they're claiming the opening chords were ripped off from their song "Taurus", which predates Stairway by 2 years
