Left Deep Forest east on 12 through tri-cities and Umatilla to Baker City. Incident free. Basic slab running on the Oregon side - 65-70mph no problem. Tried to keep it on the slow side. Up to 50mph winds from all directions at one time or another, but sustained for most of the trip. Trike sticks to the road pretty good throughout. some rain. I saw it coming and was ready. Looked spotty for night driving so I pulled into my favorite urban campsite and 'nauged the mtwillyman tent.
I made no adjustments except to the handlebar angle. But I'd made massive changes at Matt's garage and it was a good evaluation. The flywheel didn't fall off all day. The new trees have reduced steering effort significantly. The tradeoff right now is that it understeers. My arms aren't long enough to move the tiller far enough over for hard curves. So I'm still speed limited. I'm going to raise the forks as soon as I can access a floor jack. New rear shocks and 20# in the front have improved the suspension to a tolerable level. Tires still suck.
Hydraulic temps were from 80f (in the rain) to 127f. I'm a pint low on fluid. Engine from about 190f (rain) to 245 (cranking on it over the pass at Pendleton). Alternator belt squealed once putting out of a rest stop. All else jormal. Headed for Ogden. There's a picture there I want to take.
