Pirelli Sport Demons. Anyone noticing a supply issue?
« on: July 15, 2016, 10:09:04 AM »
Note: V7 Special.

So, I changed my rear out at 10,000 km, but my dealer didn't have a front, and needed to order it.

5000 km (and a month and a half) later, it still hasn't arrived, and won't until (expected) next week.

1) Anyone else seeing this?

2) I like these tires... but not enough to wait this long for them. Anyone switched 'em up, and have a good recommendation? I might even be interested in a 90/10 or 80/20 dual sport option if someone has a good one.

Thank you.
Old enough to say I've done it, young enough to do it again.

I buy all my tires mail order. Any of the big internet guys will have them. That being said I decided to try an Avon Road Rider on the rear about a 1000 mi. ago. So far very happy with it.

Funny... same here.  :)    A Roadrider is going on the front soon as well.  I've used Roadriders quite a bit on smaller bikes and love them.  I think they're gaining in popularity in the sport and sport-touring world on older bikes.

If I recall properly, you're in Canada - so you may have a distributor up there that's down on stock where the product is readily available further south. However, there's no shortage of product in the overall channel. The Sport Demons have had a few hiccups over the years in terms of availability, but generally are not a problem.
