V7 Stone II Yellow

Hi Guys,

I wrote a couple pf weeks ago as am looking at getting the Norge and have just started to contacting dealers to see if I can afford to get it and get a reasonable price and will keep you updated! Nowmy better half is thinking of getting a Guzzi too! She mentioned a yellow V7 that she said she saw back in the UK when she was there recently but for some reason it is not showing up on the USA MG site? I searched photos and she is right it does exist (Ye of little faith!) I told her I would let her know and let me ask some real professionals :) My questions to you good folks is that do they sell them here Stateside? Maybe they are just done by individuals in the UK I have no idea! Thanks for any feedback, it is much appreciated, and ride safely out there.

I've seen one at Leo's in Minnesota so they were sold in yellow I. uS.

I have seen them over here too.  I think it was a one year color, came out with the white and red split color tank .   I think the yellow was yellow with black as I recall, maybe 2012 or 2013?

Ok, I don't know why I'm doing your homework for you, but I am!  The 2013 v7 special came in yellow/black, quite attractive I think.  The v7 Stone was sold with a solid yellow tank in the EU, but apparently not over here.

Keep in mind that since all V7s have black fenders, all you need to do is buy a fuel tank to get this paint scheme.  So, you could buy any 2013-up V7 and easily install this fuel tank to get the same look.


edit:  I just looked at the web and see that yellow is available in Europe on the new V7 II Stone.  Yellow is not listed on the USA website.   So, again, if you want a yellow V7 II, buy a black one and order a yellow V7 II tank from Europe.

We had the same thing happen with the Griso about ten years ago.  One of our members wanted a yellow one, but they weren't available in The USA.  He ordered the bodywork from Europe and installed it on his bike.  Got what he wanted, and one of a kind in The USA.

It would likely cost a lot less money to take your fuel tank to a reputable body shop and get it painted the color of your choice.    And, if I was doing that, I'd get the fenders and side covers painted to match.

Maybe.  But then maybe it would be a big hassle if the guy screwed it up.  And you'd have to provide him the correct decals and hope he installed them correctly.  And then, it still wouldn't be factory paint.

I'd spend the money on a new factory painted tank.  But that's just me, and I don't have easy access to a painter who can provide a factory quality paint job.

Me likey!  Boy, if one of those was sitting next to my red one when I bought, I might have had a hard time deciding.  But it's Italian, red always gets the nod.

Tough to tell, is it flat paint like the other '16 Stones?

Just to be pedantic, that's not entirely accurate. The white 2013 Stones had white fenders.

Have you considered maybe a cheap 2009 all white V7 Classic?,..a blank canvas..can be painted any color scheme she wants! and for way less money!...I think I know where you might buy one!
