V711 Rear brake lever niggle.

I picked up my new V7 yesterday and after a bit of riding I noticed some damage to my right riding boot.
The screw thread for the brake actuator pin protrudes through the lever and the sharp edges cut into your boot.
You need to remove the pin and grind about 1mm off it and round the end, loctite back together.

After reading your post, I went out and examined my V7II. The pin does indeed protrude a bit beyond the lever surface, but in my case it's less than a millimeter, and there are no sharp edges on the pin, so I'll leave it as is.

The pin looks like a nice CNC stainless steel item, but mine had a small sharp machining flashing on the end and I could feel it by running my finger over the end of it. If owners carefully check with their fingers they may be able to avoid the boot damage.

New pair of blue leather boots that I just got. Not sure what rubbed the leather off but a small patch like your boot. Blue Magic Marker and clear shoe wax. Just have to keep an eye on it.
