So, last night I was riding just after sunset, I went down a fun downhill road that is around here, but for some reason when I let off the gas before a turn, the bike decided it didn't want to deliver fuel anymore. I opened the throttle and it would make more noise and go faster because of less engine braking, but it wouldn't actually deliver any power at all. After about 10 seconds the engine suddenly ran real rough and then quit. And in their infinite wisdom, moto guzzi designed the B11 with lights that go out when the engine dies. Then I realized how dark it was... I thumbed the starter, she started right back up and made power like normal and continued on as if nothing had happened.
I also had the engine die on me a year earlier. I came to a stop sign and the engine slowly chugged to a stop. It never actually conked out either, it was the smoothest engine shutdown I've ever felt.
I know that this is just part of guzzi character, and I can't be the only one. Does your Guzzi do strange things to remind you that it's italian too?
