« on: August 03, 2016, 01:24:21 PM »
Does anyone know where I can purchase a fairing like this, preferably new and must be complete with windscreen?

Thanks

Jim

if you buy the bike for the windscreen - I'll take the bike after you remove the screen......

Like one of these.  Gustafsonn has the windscreens.  http://bikescreen.com/

You do have to fab your own mounts.

That actually looks closer to the Norton Production Racer.

Sprint fairing, made by the company who does the Triumph plastic. Made to order and I believe they will paint it whatever color you want, but I just asked for black. Comes with brackets, all powder coated with stainless steel fasteners. Everything is top end construction.

Do you have any contact information for the maker of the fairing?

Thanks

Email them for the current price. I have had this fairing on the bike for about 15 + years without any issues.

And it's under Sport and Touring fairings for MG's.

I know you are not looking for this fairing but it is another version of their work.

The Green Fairing Looks More Like A Laverda 750 SFC Fairing. I Think Airtech Makes Them.

+1 for the green one being a Laverda SFC fairing. I personally prefer the magni fairing if I was going to go the half fairing route.

I'm going to disagree. Headlight is different, heck the whole shape is different.

Do you have a picture of the Magni fairing on a V7 Sport?

I have seen the Magni repro fairing on-line but I would sure like to see it mounted on a Sport.

Cheers

Possibilities ......

Nice but the mirrors don't work for me and the fairing has been drilled for the mirror mounts

I think I need to find a bare Magni knock-off and a matching windscreen.

No matter how many fairings you post that's a Norton fairing on the green bike.

After completing two longish rides on my fairing-free Eldorado, I've concluded that fairings are for sissies    :bike-037:

But......I do like the look of the one you illustrated Jim. It would look great on the 750S.......and my buffalo fairing will be back on the Eldo when the weather gets chilly.

I think I need to find a bare Magni knock-off and a matching windscreen.

Magni's fairings need the holes drilled where the mirrors are anyway in order to securely mount the fairing brace.

I agree these mirrors are pretty pants, Magni supplies a longer arm mirror I believe, the pictures are poor but you can sort of get the idea. May be worth contacting the seller if you like the look of the Magni mirrors as they should have been supplied with the kit.

http://www.magni.it/v11_fairing.htm

Obviously not a V11 but on my Sfida 1000 I have a bar end mirror and just put in domed hex fasteners.......... ............not saying its perfect but just trying to illustrate the point. You see the 3 end fasteners are bigger that's because they go through the mount, the smaller ones merely attach the screen. The end one attaches to an additional brace that attaches to the triple tree and the other side of the fairing the 2 screws before that are where the mirrors would mount

Being a big girl I love half fairings

John

Thanks Jock

I love the bike, beautiful!! and the fairing looks great.

I am still doing some research, I want to install a half fairing on my 750S and want a 'tall' windscreen but not so tall as it looks like a half bubble.

Cheers

I am definitely in the sissy class when it comes to windshields, I rode my V7 Sport out for a country ride yesterday with an open face helmet, between the bugs and the road dust / debris being kicked up I understand why some folks stuck a Vetter on these naked Guzzi's back in the 70's. Most people I know don't like fairings or wind screens of any kind, just a full face lid and off they go for days. I must be in the minority,

PS; great travel pic's as usual Nick,

Cheers

Jim
