Fiat in talks with Samsung to sell Magneti Marelli

I found this interesting.

Shares of Fiat Chrysler's stock jumped Wednesday after a Bloomberg report that the automaker is in talks to sell one of its components divisions to Samsung Electronics. The company is said to be weighing a potential sale of supplier Magneti Marelli in a deal that would provide entry for Samsung into the lucrative world of vehicle electronics and infotainment.

Well, Samsung chips have a good name. Probably it would be a positive move. Can't complain about the injection system on the Breva though.

I would not worry about having Samsung electronics in my vehicle, at least not more than Bosch, Delphi et al...

And Lord knows, FCA could use the money considering how fast they are burning through capital and their high debt level. That's probably what the stock jump is all about.
