The 2016 still has the throttle lock.  I'm surprised this handy little device hasn't fallen fate to the lawyers.
Engine is pretty standard 1200 cc Sportster.

Yeah that grip tension adjuster has been used for decades.

As for the motor, it appears to be rated with a few more hp than the rest of the 1200's.
