Tell Me about this V50
« on: August 09, 2016, 05:40:38 PM »
his 1989 ooopps 1979 V50 came up for sale, it looks pretty stock to me.
What should I look out for on this model?
What sort of bores would it have?
I'm a bit suspicious about the small decal on the tank and the seat cover.

I don't know the mileage
What is the price range for something like this in US$

Thanks
Roy

$2500 - $3500?   That'd be top dollar, I'd say.

Seat isn't stock, badge on the sidecover and tank decal aren't stock. Rear shocks have been replaced.
Most seem to sell for $2,000 to $2,500 U.S.

Looks like a '79 Mk II. Seat has been re-covered. Bores would be Nikasil. Bosch electronic ignition for better or worse.

I'd say not too desirable, honestly. A MkIII would be a better example. As Charlie says, it is probably a 79 rather than an 89. I'd personally not go much above 2K. Let the flaming begin.. :)

Pricing at $2K would be right.
