V11 Ti kit Mufflers

Specifically for those who have them-Are the mufflers straight through? I ask because I have MIVV cans and CF oval no-name ones. Swapping between both, I have wonderful bass with the CF and a more tiney sound with the MIVV but the MIVV 's feel better. Ti map for both. Removing the dB killers in the MIVV cans absolutely kills the roll on mid range boogie. Stuchi crossover.

I disassembled a set to remove some dents. Straight through with packing. Shells are paper thin.

The factory Titanium silencers look great and sound wonderful.  As I recall, yes, the internal core is a finely perforated, straight-through design. As was just mentioned, those titanium muffler bodies are VERY susceptible to bending and dents.

Thanks for the info. I suspect the MIVV cans reflect a pressure wave internally which enhances low and mid range torque. The bike does not pull off the line as forcefully with the oval mufflers. I can get replacement dB killers for the MIVV set and I can modify them for sound.

I would not expect that the MIVV's have internal structures but they may.  I have one of their mufflers on my Stelvio.

Can you just take them off and look down the core?

The MIVV is free flow until the dB killer is installed. When I first installed them, I ran with and without the killers. Without, the sound was comparable to the CF ovals in tone with a lot more volume. Power was definitely down from idle to 7K. From there to redline was a strong surge of power. Not where I spend a lot of time. So the killers went back in and usable power returned. The sound is higher pitched. I did this same test using the maps from Paul with the same results. The smoothest running of which is the Ti map. I may be able to improve the tone with some careful cutting of the killers. The oval mufflers are coming off. I whacked the throttle today to avoid a non-observant lane changer and was almost tagged because of the flaccid response from the engine. With the MIVVs, the bike lunges forward from 3K. The ovals feel like stepping onto an escalator-smooth transition from walking to riding without any increase in velocity.
