Brake Line Question
« on: August 12, 2016, 04:30:50 PM »
I am wondering about the junctions that are used on Guzzi hydraulic systems.  Can banjo bolts and flexible lines be used where hard lines are fitted stock?

Should be ok, may have a bit more pedal flex. Metal one's can be made up easily.

It would depend on if the surface around the threaded hole will seal or not.  Some are milled for a seal and some are rough cast, have seams, or are otherwise not going to seal.  I've had pretty good luck overall with what you're trying to do, but there are limits to the useful length of soft line.  For the length of the run from the rear brake splitter to the front wheel, a hard line will give you better response.  It shouldn't be too hard for someone to get you pics of the hard line route.
