New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
OK before a certain Ozzie sees this . This is a ditch pump motor , what are you expecting to gain ? Kind of like an old flat head 6 cylinder 1950 Plymouth I had in 1970 , drilling holes in the exhaust and air filter housing will just make it louder . Dusty
I think it was actually another certain Ozzie (name???) who posted a 10HP gain in the midrange with Dunstall pipes. Me and few folks who rode my bike would say this is not far off.Pete
My stock 98 EU EV will run up to 125 mph. That 200k/ph at 4ķ rpm in 5th gear. What more does anyone want? Plenty fast and strong for me. 'Course, I ain't pulling a trailer like I did back home😊Tom
sorry, but you're not saying that your EV will run 125mph at 4k rpm? The bike should be running about 70mph with stock gearing. My guess is that an EV might hit 115 with no bags or windshield and laying on the tank. I suppose 125 isn't out of the question but certainly at 7500+ rpm.
FWIW I've seen a GPS reading of 118mph on my cali, (obviously on unrestircted autobahn)... I think I was getting up near 5k in top, but was kind of focused on other things at that moment in time so I can't be certain. I'd have thought 7.5k in 5th would be pretty much light speed, isnt there a way of calculating theoretical top speeds through the gearing??
I think at least some of the 99 have a p15 computer, I know my 99 Bassa did.
:Beating_A_Dead_Hors e_by_liviuMy EV has a P8 computer with a german P-Line chip.It is suposed to work with KN filter and open exhaust. Therefore my questions. The MC goes to redline without problem. But other charts I have seen, show a max hp at ca. 7000 rpm.(should be close to 70 hp according to the dyno man.)( my previous mc, a Kawasaki had 148 rwhp, not looking for that on the EV, but better than today numbers)
The first time I rode it up to an indicated 200kph I was looking straight ahead. A member here asked what the rpms were and I said I'd check. Ran it up to an indicated 200bkph again and checked the tach. 4k rpm. Could probably get higher numbers running in 4th. This on the A8 between Kircheim and Nurtingen.Tom
Here is a Dyno chart of my '03 EV done in 2006 by FBF. Before and after PC III (and custom map) install
Well my Jackal will do MPH , and I'll punch someone in the nose for saying otherwise ... I think the Rep had a typo . Dusty
I would never trust the tach on a stock Jackal.
