2009 V7C $3,500
« on: August 27, 2016, 01:45:12 PM »
Not mine - just wishing I had $3,500 and room in the garage.
It's listed in Philly, but I think it's down in MD.  Seems a good deal.  $3,500 for the bike and you get a free Windjammer fairing to sell on eBay. . .

Does this bike belong to a WG member ? It looks familiar .

Yup. Forum member m13. It's listed in the swap meet. It's tough to give away Guzz's these days. I find myself wishing someone would steal my Rosso  Corsa and drive it off a cliff so I could collect the insurance.

Yep it's mine, I'm getting a real lesson in supply and demand and crappy economics with this one!
I guess I started too high, then got frustrated with a few "tire kickers" and now, kinda just want it gone. The baggs and Jammer? I could pull and try to sell BUT I'm tired of trying to sell stuff!!
anyway it's a solid stock bike (except for the faring and bags) and it wants a new home

I would ditch that monstrosity of a fairing and leave the bags.  Might have better luck.

Best of luck with the sale.  I truly wish I had room to give it a home - it looks very clean.

This.   :1:

That fairing is hilarious on a V7.  All good for you if you like it, but it detracts from the looks of the bike, especially if you're trying to sell it.

Let me know if this works for you. I'd like to park my V7R, 850T and T3 in the same area.

Now that's strange, because I just saw the photo and said "Man, that fairing with the paint job lined up with the "Guzzi" logo looks pretty good, I like that" but I thought the bags were too big and at a slight angle.

I was thinking "Wow, if I were in the market for a one-man touring bike, I'd put a set of old Guzzi "briefcase" bags on it, paint them to match the fairing, and shine it on!"

So maybe better advertise it with the fairing and bags and let the market decide ....

I think it looks fantastic, but that and $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee.

I don't think it's necessarily going to sell faster without the fairing, but if you have some photos of it before the fairing, advertise it with both photos.

Personally I think it looks the business.

Not a fan of fairings but that doesn't look that bad. Color scheme and stripes kinda match the bike. I saw this bike, along with a few others on the east coast, if I only had a way out there. It's a good thing they aren't only a few hours away. Newer bike seems a stretch right now, will just have to stick with my projects.

I thank you all for your extreme diversity in opinion, suggestions, compliments, blatant judgments, but mostly the member support as I try to exchange this beauty for another. This V7c will sell, and my V700 will return to life..It's all good

The fairing looks heavier than the bike.

Jammers are considered butt ugly these days. I have one on my R100. But they offer great protection if you do a lot of highway riding.

Down sides to the Vetters are that their looks are not popular and its hard to even give them away. Shipping costs are rediculous if sold over the 'net for even $20.
I would remove the fairing if selling too.

I'm just not a large fairing guy, no disrespect intended.  I do have a newer V7, and would think that Vetter would act like a sail at high speeds with a crosswind.  I get blown around with crosswinds as it is.
