Being coy?  Al Verde Restaurant has generally been considered the best place to eat in Mandello.  Did you find another that's even better?

Not coy, tipsy, grappa bottle on table after 6 bottles wine and 8 courses food do that to me, i met some ausies since and told em directions but for now i only know where, name when i remember (not anywhere i've ever been or heard about) still. can't believe 25 euro a head, worth 200 easy
Our house pretty trick too, not gloating but heaven can't be this good, reality tomorrow riding over alps, cor what a shame

I don't know about you; but, nothing hits harder and faster than grappa.  Any decisions made afterwards are suspect...

Agreed: Al Verde was the best food the 10 days we spent in Italy except for a place in Florence. Maybe they were tied for 1st place.  Stayed at Al Verde for 3 days at the beginning of our honeymoon. I promised my wife I would show her a good time by starting off the honeymoon going to the Guzzi factory.  But I had called Agonstini ahead of time and said where do I stay and where do I eat and they said Al Verde hands down.  Greta couldn't care less about the old Guzzi's in the museum but thought the outside of the factory was like a colorful painting. And she didn't even think I was crazy for scaling the wall to get a look at the track behind the factory  . I was hoping they were test riding something but no such luck.
