SD-Tec Clutch Kit? Anyone running this?
« on: September 28, 2016, 09:25:28 AM »
Finally going to replace the clutch and hub in the '86 LeMans.  Going to a deep spline setup of course.  MG Cycles is selling teh SD-Tec kit with both friction plates, intermediate plate and hub.

Is anyone here using this product or have any prior experience with it?

I don't buy the kit, but usually buy the pieces separately. The SD-TEC friction plates are arguably the best available right now, but do seem to be slightly thicker than standard, so may require a slightly longer clutch pushrod.

I like the "new and improved" intermediate plate over the cheaper version they have been selling.

The new "shiny" springs have the same spring pressure as the original "red paint" springs.
