Selling my Centauro
« on: September 28, 2016, 08:26:57 PM »
Alas, I must part company with this in-the-crate, completely-apart rare Guzzi model.  I promise it's all there and ready to assemble.  Did I mention some assembly required?  Zero miles?  NEW NEW NEW?  Complete?  Oh -- I can't get a title for it.  I forgot that part.  Something about it's not streetable.

Priced for quick sale $50.00 OBO

PM if interested.

Not yet.  Mine is in several little baggies.  But except for that, yes.

Tough room!  Remember the cover charge includes a drink.   :whip2:   :boozing:

That's the problem with owning an "Orphan" model bike.

When I had my yellow/anthracite Centauro, and saw another one, my thought (to my discredit) was not "Hey, that's a pretty bike!" nor "Hey, there's another guy like me!" ...

... it was always "Potential Parts Bike" ...

[rodekyll], I don't expect you to describe your bike as " ran when parked ", but would you say it has never been dropped ?
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

That's nice... (LOL)    ...so you can now just call me "Little Orphan Guzzisti-Man" - - and now ask me how much fun it is trying to find a replacement, OEM, white faced, Veglia Borletti electronic tachometer!! (Ho boy...! LOL)

Look at the production numbers for the Centauro, let alone a "GT model"...."Orphan Bike" indeed! (LOL)

Anyway, he said he as three (3) donor bikes back home in Texas for parts!!

Last one I saw was parked next to my Nero Corsa, the night of the bike drowning at the MN National.  It drowned and I got out with my bike.  I was the last one out of the water and last Guzzi to leave the rally site on a bike.

Still have the glue, or did you huff that?

A friend recently gave me this little 1/10 scale Centauro, (made by MAISITO in China).  These are very popular on fleaBay, and already assembled.

Oil pump.  That's gotta be it.  Anyone got a really tiny oil pump with pin bearings?  I need to sell this thing before it needs a complete teardown.

Has the drive shaft seen regular grease ?

Made me look.

This one came ungreased from the factory.  In fact upon further inspection, all the bearings are dry, and the kickstand isn't in the usual place.  I don't think it could be ridden this way.  I'm not lying.  It needs some serious assembly . . . some love, if you will.

When I had my Centauro I always said the only reason they assembled them was to make sure your got all the parts.
