Yeah, I don't use the Slime for balance.  I have always been skeptical of such claims from fluids or beads.  HOWEVER, lots of people believe it AND my experience has been that my tires with fluid inside were never perceived as having a balance problem.

I've alway been skeptical of any balance fluid especially with the speeds some of these bikes are capable of. If I'm cooking along briskly and the stuff collects in one spot the imbalance would occur before I could react and could be quite severe. It also makes it nearly impossible to plug or patch on the side of the road. Just balance the assembly.

Well, I don't want to incriminate myself too severely but all I can say is that I have experienced high speeds on bikes with sealing fluid and never ever had a balance problem.

I would also not put fluid in a tubeless tire because of the mess it can make when changing the tire.  Also, past sealing fluids have also been suspected of deteriorating aluminum rims.

As far as patches on the side of the road, the purpose of the sealing fluid is to eliminate the need for that as my experience has confirmed.

I reckon you're on the money leafman. I'd say that slime won't put a true, balanced wheel, out of balance but my suggestion is that it won't put an untrue out of balance one back in balance. Different thing.

I'm still with you, Huzo, in that I don't understand the dynamics of a liquid sealer providing balance. But I WILL emphatically state that my front wheel was dynamically balanced before I put Slime in, and now it's not. Maybe the type of Slime, or more probably the amount, but there it is.

I still like the idea of a sealer in my tires, so I'm still going to try the Ride-On product.

Ok mate, that's an observation based on experience and engineering intuition so for me that has to be accepted on face value. I just tend to inquire when opinions are put forward based on half baked postulations and flawed logic, I'm out of ideas so thanks for now, but I'll watch this space. Huzo.
