Headlight screw?
« on: October 28, 2016, 02:11:12 PM »
While chasing the problem with my left front turn signal, I somehow lost the screw that holds in the headlight (part # 17740302). Looked to be a simple Philips round machine screw - anyone know the specs so I can grab one at the hardware store?

Please state what bike you have. Maybe someone can check theirs.

A Google search for that Guzzi part number turns up a screw with a slotted pan head and an unthreaded portion at the end of the threads.  Harper sells them for $2.99.  However, according to Stein-Dinse, they've been superseded by part 19740302.

For a pic, see http://www.stein-dinse.biz/Complete-partlist/Unsorted/Screw::2756.html

Year and model and I can pull up.  Often the description of the part proceeds the part number.

Thanks for the replies - that one link shows mine was probably replaced already, as it looked nothing like that pan head screw. My bike is now in my sig, btw - it wasn't showing up before.
