I am erstwhile FSSNOC (fizz-knock) member # 5085 -- Four Stroke Singles National Owners Club (note no apostrophe) which you find linked beside the link to the tiddlers rally at the IMOC. Still wear the T-shirt; in fact, I would post a pic of it, but for the fact the shirt is in the wash now, as I wore it to yoga Tuesday morning and handball Tuesday evening, so it's kinda grody at present. FSSNOC have four or so "Thumper Cafes" per year. Headquarters is in Kansas, so events are held where Jack the club owner finds a convenient & scenic place a couple days' radius from headquarters. Each Thumper Cafe is simply lunch. You get an award for riding 500 miles to, for most miles, etc. Some thumpers will thump a thousand humps to linch. I attended at God's Thumbprint, aka Burke's Garden, VA. More than half the attendees bestrode KLRs. A thumper is a wonderful, elemental, dreadfully simple thing to own.
Jack puts a ton of time into his club, including a weekly rambling on-line newsletter, a quarterly mailed newsletter, even weekly breakfasts at a nearby Kansas diner. All this is is related to you IIRC, as I have not kept up with them for years.
Anyhoo, where I started out with this is, according to FSSNOC taxonomy, a four stroke single is a thumper; while a tiddler is any thumper displacing less than 250cc.
n.b. : FSSNOC has the best motto of any club : blow, suck, squeeze, bang : the four strokes.
