I was able to obtain a new center stand from a Guzzi forum member THANK YOU, and the mounting parts for my 1200 Sport from another source.(looking at the parts diagram, the center stands were optional for the 1200 Sport but not the Breva 1100).... so are the mounting bolts for mounting the left and right brackets already screwed into the frame under there or do I need to buy bolts? and if so, what size bolts do I need?

Have a look for them, but I'm sure extra parts are needed than just the centerstand.

There are bolts and bushings
I'm not 100% sure but highly doubt the bolts are there

I have "on order" all the extra stuff like bolts, springs, plus the left & right mounting brackets which the center stand bolts onto. I'm wondering where these two mounting brackets attach and are the bolts already there and do I  attach the brackets to the existing bolts, or do I need longer bolts, or something else?

Jeff ..... look at the pic  (0275IMG)  that I sent to you attached to an email.  It shows each and every part that came in the Guzzi center stand kit.  The individual from whom I purchased the center stand kit had (a) purchased the kit but (b) sold his 1200 Sport before he had the opportunity to install it.  So, all the parts in that photo are what Guzzi shipped with the kit.  If you don't have all those parts, you probably don't have the pieces necessary to install the stand.

If for some reason the email with attached pics and line drawings didn't show up, check your spam folder.

Regards,

Bob

It's been a while, but I remember having to remove a couple of brackets and replace them with ones for the center stand when I installed mine. Had a couple parts left over.
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!

Bob, I did look at the picture and I ordered all of those parts that it shows. I'm just wondering where those two brackets get bold it on underneath?

I think Darren and I have the same problem ...... it's been a few years since we installed the stand and have forgotten some of the details ..... but yes, as he says, the old brackets do have to come off before you can install the new brackets.

Is there a chance anyone with a 1200 Sport, Breva 1100, or an early Norge that could take pictures of the underside where those brackets w/ center stand are installed?

As I look at some pictures, I'm beginning to believe that the existing brackets are to be removed and replaced with the "new" centerstand support brackets. The new ones appear to be the same as the existing brackets where they bolt in but the new ones have an additional lower areas where the centerstand attaches.
