My insurance agent told me that out in the country, like were I live, the biggest cause of fatal motorcycle crashes is the rider entering a curve that the motorcycle is capable of handling, but the rider is not. He panics and hits the brakes, straightens up, and rides off the road into a tree or other fixed object.
