New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Gasket looks intact with no leaks. I agree with oil pressure switch. Would hot oil make the problem go away for the day?
Funny thing is, this light show started after I changed all fluids, synced the throttle bodies, reset the TPS, checked/adjusted the valves, new tires, and get this....brand new out of the box motobatt battery replacing the three plus year old original which didn't leakI'll throw the battery on the a charger to see if that helps
Battery has nothing to do with it. If it was low voltage the ecu would not even let the bike start. There is no service light for a low battery What type of oil did you use and what brand of filter. This has happened before with incorrect oil or filter. The 8v is rather sensitive to it.
I used a UFI filter and two quarts of Motorex 10/60 and a dash of Agip 10/6O.... I didn't have enough of one brand or the the other so I played bartender and mixed away... The nut behind the handlebar is in a confused unstable state and is hard to reach...
Nobody told my Stelvio that. I had the same symptoms for a while until I tested and changed my battery. It would start but I could tell something wasn't totally correct. It would also pull the warning message. After testing and changing the battery, all has been fine. The issue was mostly on the first cold start of the day. There is also a "Low Battery" warning (ECU20) but that did not always trigger even though the warning triangle would pop up..
Since the dashboard codes don't keep the code in memory, it likely won't show in GuzziDiag either.I believe that oil pressure codes are only remembered if that last over 15 seconds or so. And these events are short enough that they aren't being recorded.I would do what Pete suggests first. Leaking gasket letting it drain down when sitting or bleeding off pressure; or a weak switch.
My Stelvio is dong exactly this, at the moment. Usually when cold, and the bike almost doesn't start, at which point the SERVICE indication is triggered. If I fully charge he battery, it doesn't happen. FWIW, I am also using a Motobatt battery. Might try switching back to the original battery temporarily as a test.Cheers,Shaun

Wayne, it is the other way around on the Stelvio (at least the 2012+).
I mean that MadMike said that he is NOT seeing any stored code, possibly because it is such a short event.
