Just saw this in the feed and been off and on just recently. Very sorry to hear this news and praying for Vicky as she sounds very serious yet. I hope a speedy recovery for Wayne.

I just got some time to post. They kicked me out of Vicky's room in ICE.
I had surgery this morning, and as far as I know I will be fine, but I will have a few new battle scars.
Vicky is still in trouble though. SERIOUS trouble. Even with the full compliment of gear. So please keep the good thoughts heading towards her, she can use them.
I'll avoid discussions of the accident at this time until the dust settles.

I stopped by this am and Wayne was sitting up in a chair and had just had a walker lesson. he looks good and wasn't in any real pain. (good drugs) he has a plate in his left arm to repair the small long bone. the hip repair also went well and wasn't bothering him. as always he has a positive attitude and will be fine in time. but I'm sure the bones will take a long time to heal.
He still didn't have any different news about Vicky. She is still in a coma and they were going to take him down to see her so I headed out. she has a lot of family there and prayer is all we can do.

My Brother-in-law had a bike crash a year and a half ago. Hit his head pretty significantly and they kept him in a coma for almost two weeks. It was medically induced to prevent him from waking up. It was quite a process but today he is mentally back to his old self and other than a leg injury that will leave him with a permanent limp, he has fully recovered. We had some pretty dark days before the sun came back out.

Here's to a complete recovery for Wayne and Vicky. Modern medicine can do some amazing things. Keep the positive thoughts flowing!
