I have been following this thread but can't recall if this has been suggested or not. Is there a particular scent that might have significants in Vicky's life that you could bring to her when you visit.

Cindy had an idea that might be helpful. How about a crockpot?
You just put the fixings in it and walk away, put it on the low setting in the morning and at dinnertime you have a meal ready. There is a cookbook called Fix-It and Forget-It five ingredient recipes.

It is now official. The year 2016 is the worse year of my life.

Vicky got a high fever today, and her heart could no longer take the strain.
My best friend of 43 years is gone.

I hope that she is at piece now.

Wayne,

We know of no couple who had such mutual love and obvious affection as did Vicky and you. It was always endearing to see you and her interact. Vicky's light-hearted teasing of you and others brightened every gathering. To be around the two of you was cheering, indeed, even inspiring as to how a marriage should and could be.

I have to say that my most enduring memory of Vicky -- and it happened several times! -- was when I, riding solo, tried to keep up with you and Vicky while you towed a trailer.

As you pulled away in curves and on straights and it was clear that there was no hope of my catching you until the next stop, Vicky would turn around and wave good-bye. Couldn't see her face in her full-faced helmet, but I know she was laughing.

We were all blessed to have known her, and you, especially, for having married her.

Vicky will always be with us ... and, more importantly, with you.

Requiescat in pace et in amore.

Like so many others, I am terribly saddened to hear the news about Vicky. Though I never met either of you in person, I have certainly read much about and from you over the years.

I am so sorry to hear. All I can say is that I have lived through the same hell but there is life after and can even be a good life but there will always be a hole in the heart.
For those of you close to Wayne, the real need for support for Wayne starts in a couple weeks after things settle down and it has all sunk in.
