Well Kev you are probably right but I am Mennonite and you may not be aware that copper wire was invented by two Mennonite men that spotted a penny on the sidewalk at the same time. :grin:

 I say for a vehicle to be called a truck it must have one important ability....Be able to push a stalled vehicle out of the way without causing 1200 bucks worth of damage to the front end...

I say for a vehicle to be called a truck it must have one important ability....Be able to push a stalled vehicle out of the way without causing 1200 bucks worth of damage to the front end...

If the bed can be removed it is a truck. If the body panels around the bed are integrated to the cab it is an SUV With Truck-like Features - or an SUV-WTF.  SUV-WTFs include Honda Ridgeline and Chevrolet Avalanche.

Anything less than an 8 foot bed is an SUV. Trucks are for hauling stuff. SUVs are for hauling people.

Well-played sir. You have found a suitable "exception to the rule" I proposed. However, I think that was a short-lived experiment.

Since we're just bullshitting about trucks... I found this one on a recent dirt-bike adventure. 8-foot bed. Ran when parked.  :evil:

I dunno. These days it's generally hard to buy a crappy vehicle.

Any brand can break, and any brand can last a couple hundred thousand miles.

At the end of the day buy what you want cause life's too short to drive something you don't like seeking to save $1k on repairs over the life of a $50k vehicle.
Yes!  It does become more challenging/fun when it's a $5k rather than $50k vehicle.

been sitting this out   But for me and my family  I bought a 1995 Suzuki Sidekick

 plus a little 5X10 trailer  I hauled a Norge back with this little 1.6 litter motor       the hills were tough but it pulled like crazy .
its a very simple 4 banger to work on   full frame under it  solid axle in back actually a tough  little truck

I've probably posted this in the past. But way back in the 90's I bought a 4x2 Geo Tracker (Suzuki Sidekick) and about 2 years into ownership decided I wanted a 4x4.

The conversion was simple (transmission, front axle, one frame bracket).

It was a seriously overbuilt little truck. And it was tough as hell.
