Ideas on lowering passenger footpegs?

On my 08 1200 Sport, I would like to lower the passenger pegs about 2" for my use when riding solo (as an additional place for my feet) and for my passenger. Any ideas???

Fabricate a plate with bolt holes at each end that is offset enough to clear exhaust.
