Bike Builds and Rebuilds - Please read before posting here.
« on: February 05, 2017, 07:53:54 AM »
This sub forum should be pretty self explanatory. This is not the place to ask questions about general maintenance. The idea of this category is to track restorations, rebuilds, etc since this sub-forum will not be archived. This will allow us to come back here and see progressions for many years.

This is not a good place to ask about oil types, torque values, filter brands, tire sizes, etc.

If you happen across a thread somewhere else on the forum "General Discussion' or one of the Archives, please "Report it to moderator" so we can move it here so it will not get archived in the future.  This makes it view-able in the future.

How about posts in this section that aren't really about Builds or Rebuilds, but are just parts or technical questions? Shouldn't they be moved to General Discussion?

I agree, they do clutter up the section a bit. Maybe a small clean up would be in order.

There has sure been a lot of folks posting their general-type questions on this Rebuild list. Seems to have been happening more and more the last few weeks.

I am rebuilding my Bosch starter, would this be the place for it? I also learned a new trick for busting rusty bolts from a machinist friend of mine, it’s 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF. It works awesome on my Machinist friend AND to break the screws loose on the armature cap. Let me know and I’ll post appropriately, Thanks!
