One of the things I love about the Guzzi is to see the heads popping out each side of the bike. The 2012+ Norge has 'air scoops' to direct air from the heads down and away from the rider. Great idea but how effective? I'm thinking of setting the 'boobies' free by removing the scoops. Will likely buy the Griso/Stelvio fuel line guards for extra protection. The problem is removing these scoops leaves the tangs sticking out. Easily removed with a dremel, but then its an irreversible modification.
So my question is: How effective are these scoops? has anyone done this and regretted it? I took one side off and rode around for a week, couldn't tell any difference, but it wasn't on a 100+ degree day either.
