Bell Moto 3 - NGC
« on: February 28, 2017, 01:45:57 PM »
I've always loved the design of Bell helmets. My first one was a white Bell Star purchased in 1979. I remember being really proud of that :-).
I've had others over the years, but Bell kind of went away for a while. I resorted to a Biltwell Gringo last year (Bell Star replica), which is a very nice helmet, but, well it isn't a Bell!

I saw this at a motorcycle show in Hamburg at the weekend, and I couldn't resist. They had one in yellow, so it came home with me. :-)

Bell full-coverage helmets were "out of my league" in 1979, but I won one in a drawing at the Triumph shop.   Sort of like winning a top-of-the-line Arai today.

Not my head-shape though.   I wore that one out, but haven't bought another one.   I'll try a few on if I see them ....

Yep, it was a lot money for me too back then. If my memory serves me right, I paid 86 pounds for it. That wasn't a spontaneous purchase! :-)
I was riding a used CB550F2 at the time, with Laverda Jota handlebars, and I think that helmet cost about 20% of what I paid for the bike! :-0
