glass top electric stove.....does anyone here have any experience with that?  I will have to try some Lavazza decaf in it.

From experience, They work great on a glass top stove

Also, you may want to give the many varieties of barley based coffee a try.  I tried this on a few occasions and was quite pleased.  My normal brew is Lavazza from a Moka to give you a reference
