I have a set of Napoleons on the CX and the CRG's on the 1000S and for functionality, the Napoleons are the best of the two.

My thoughts, too. I like the "looks" of the CRGs though.

For the Napoleon Mirrors users, do you need additional bar end weights to reduce the vibration or the mirror arms themselves got enough weight?

I still got stock mirrors on my 15 Stone, and depends on what RPM I am at, they can be clear as ice or vibrate so much that they give me a headache looking at them...

Also was there modification required as Stone's handle bar isn't hollow like most of the 22mm (7/8" bar) out there.

Looking at this bad boy right now, but don't want to pull the trigger until I know for sure...

For reference, some bar end mirrors need the end of the bar to be hollow for their expansion plugs.  Others clamp to the outside of the bar.  The cheapies on eBay clamp to the outside of the bar, or optionally to expansion plugs that comes with them.

On my Centauro.. the Napoleons added more damping than the bar end weights.

Just me but I think I see better out of these than what my stocks provided with no vibration.

I've had CRG Lane Splitters. My current Arrows on my V7 are better for visibility but I do miss the look of the round LS. Might switch back at some point.

I have the CRG Lane Splitters on my Yamaha. Because of the look of the bike, I would prefer the Arrows.  Interested in working out a deal for a trade?

I do like the CRG mirrors though.  On my bikes, I do not have to turn my head very far to see.  Stock mirrors just showed my shoulders.  I am keeping the stock mirrors on my Griso because they are the best I've had on a stock bike.

On my Centauro.. the Napoleons added more damping than the bar end weights.

I think this is true on my Scura too. The Napoleons were a bit of a hassle to install - had to shave down the rubber bushing to get it into the threaded bar-ends.

On my Triumph, I put a Napolean on the left of the bar and a throttle-locking barend on the right. Unobstructed view, less vibes, and cruise control to boot...it's a great setup for a roadster.

Yes, Halcyon! they do perform well. Two mirror head sized are available. Not cheap compared to 15 bux, but average to better price compared to CRG. Flat glass, no vibes.
How are they for lane splitting?

I've got CRG bar-end mirrors on the bikes.  I tried a set of cheap ones from Cycle Gear at first to see if I liked them, and i enjoyed the increased field of view versus the mouse-ears on the Ducati.  The cheapies were cast pot-metal and failed on the road. . . the arm holding the mirror just snapped off clean.  Conversely- the CRG's are milled from billet aluminum and have replacement parts available if you ever need.

While I understand the argument of "taking your eyes off the road" or "looking farther away to check a mirror" I'm always scanning the periphery, checking mirrors, looking up the road, or in some RARE cases actually enjoying the scenery on the ride.  I give a head-chek before any lane change anyway, so my experience has never found me being caught out by glancing at the bar end.

Quite the opposite actually.  I feel that the placement of the mouse ears on my bikes only offered a great view of my shoulders & had me trying to quickly contort my upper body so that I could free up the field of view behind.  I think that's more dangerous.

I've never liked bar end mirrors.

I don't like things sticking out the sides and things obstructing my hands getting to and off of the grips.

I like how infinitely adjustable the halcyon mirrors can be. With a bit of futzing around you have great rear views. The round mirror also match the V7's instrument bezels.

Got an Arrow on the Sfida 1000.

I only install one & have tried various different brands, they all work better than the stock offering and look better too IMHO. The arrow is the best I have found to date............... ...not cheap in the UK though, but Heh you get what you pay for most of the time
