By the way, does anyone know if any company is still in the business of making custom-made touring leathers?   At the Butler's Orchard Euro-bike day one year, a couple had a marquee there with samples of their work and was taking orders; they did some beautiful leathers but the next year when I went, they weren't there.

I've heard very good things about Langlitz Leathers in Portland (http://www.langlitz.com/) for decades, but can't speak from experience. I wear an ugly yellow Darien and AD1 pants in pretty much all weather, and I just accept the fact that I look like some weird sports mascot when I'm off the bike.

I used to have Olympia mesh pants with zip-in rain liners, but I crashed in them. The kneepads rotated, and I ended up with a couple square inches of denim and cordura ground into my kneecaps. Not a great outcome, but it could've been worse.

Have never tried them, I'll look 'em up, and also check eBay for Transit stuff, although getting a fit on that might be really tough ....

Aerostich has a limited number left, according to their Web site.

If you're in the east, Fox Creek is in southern VA.
