Scheduled a "meet-up and ride" with my son Joey for this past Saturday early afternoon. Myself coming just north of Hotlanta, and Joey coming out of Columbia, SC.
He's rockin' a 1990 Kawasaki Zephyr 550 that he located languishing for countless years. Except for engine internals, he completely
tore every nut and bolt down during this project. This was its maiden voyage. Myself on the mighty Griso.
We left from our respective States and met in Tellico Plains, TN for the MARCH MOTO MADNESS Event. This is where street legal bikes,
according to displacement size, compete in Hill Climb and Trials. Watching "mature in age only" gentlemen attack the course
on $23k bikes is a sight to behold !

Splish, Splash. Dem good 'ol boys was takin' a bath !!

This old boy just had his rig pulled out of the mud bog by a 4 wheeler as the muck had locked the bike firmly in place!

We left approx. 6pm Sat evening as all festivities came to a holt when one of these elephant rigs slammed its trainer to the ground while attempting to clear a large mud covered bare bark log. We passed the incoming ambulance a few minutes later coming up the road...
Anyways, there was the Cherohala Skyway and several more miles to cover before nightfall as our sleeping accommodations
had been prearranged at the Historic Topoco Lodge built in 1930. 15 or so Chrysler Crossfires were parked out front to ply
the Tail of the Dragon the next morning.

"Pass not by, Stranger! Stop! Silently bare your head, drop a stone upon her grave, and make a wish straight from your heart. The Spirit of Eternal Youth and Happiness hovers near to grant the wishes of all who love the hills and valleys of her native home"
   -Song of Trahlyta.
Interesting sight on my way to Two Wheels Only(T.W.O.) motorcycle campground the next day. By this time Joey and I had split up as he had a few hundred miles yet to cover on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Always something interesting to see at T.W.O ...
Joey covered 700+ miles of curves, the bike handling great with no problems and his "Golden calf" getting plenty of attention.
...The 'ol man did what he could to keep up.
The End.
