But, then you become the most popular person in the area!  Of course, you have to be fast if you want some of the pie you just bought :)

One of the Guzzisti drove his Jeep that year...so we had a cooler...and brought a few pies back to the wives..

Here is the bottom-line:

Village Inn (anywhere out west) - Pies all day long for $8-$10 for a single pie
Rock Springs Cafe, Black Canyon City, AZ - $18-$20 for a single pie
Pie-Town - $35 for a single pie

IMHO - Although fresh and good - not worth $35....(and my wife agreed!)

Hi Tom!  What year is your SP1000NT?  Have I seen it before at another rally?

Did you see my green '93 SP1000-III?  It was a good bike! :thumb:

Y'ep that's the color.  I was going to period Krauser bags on it but bike is in PHX and bags are in Kona.  Might still do that.  I use soft bags.  It's a 37 year old "Adventure" bike.  :boozing:

I had Krauser 22L bags on my CX100 years ago.  They weren't built as good as the bigger Krausers and didn't last as long either.

I use Rev-pack insulated/H20 proof soft bags on my `77 Convert. now or any other bike that doesn't have hard bags too.  Had my RP saddle packs for over 20 years now and they still look like new.  :thumb:  Some times I use them as an ice cooler and hand carry them @ race tracks like Laguna Seca.  :azn:

To go along with the Pie Theme, and the subject of Guzzi Rallies, I suggest that we have our very own theme song .....

Not to change the subject TOO much (and to keep the Datil thread on the front page), I don't see how anyone who travels a lot, whether it be for business, eating with clients in hotels, or whether it be at Rallies, having sausage biscuits from the food truck for breakfast, ice cream and shakes half the day, and a pile of hamburgers and potato salad, or lasagne and bread, at the rally in the evening ....

... how does anyone keep from porking up when you're doing that all the time?   At home, I can carefully control what I eat, write down all the calories, carbs, proteins, three kinds of fat, three kinds of sugar, etc .... but on the road it's YEEEE-HAAAAAAA and no accountability whatsoever.

Been a rallying year so far (five rallies so far and riding to another starting tomorrow, 5 days on the road), and it hurts ....

Simple answer - "Eat less - Exercise More..." ...and moderation on meals.

One could not eat as you described above ALL THE TIME, or you would balloon up like the Staff-Puff-Marshmellow-Man!!

As an example, this last 3 days road trip I took to MN, I walked 4.49 miles...just in running to the gates at airports, and for the rental cars, etc. - - and usually that is a "brisk" walk to to trying to catch a flight!

Does anyone have the email address for this guy, "Cecil" from Gallup, New Mexico?

A good guy, and I used to see him at Datil every year, this photo from 2014.   I heard he broke his ankle and did not make it last year.  I used to communicate with him regularly by email, but lost his address.

Thanks in advance.

Ok JJ.  I found some pics from Datil a few years ago when I rode my much missed B11.  I'll be on the Scura this year,  Having Tom Hull retune the FI and mount some Tekno bags.  But I still pine for another B11 if I could figure out a permanent fix for the dash.

JJ, contact Matt for Cecil's info.  I know he got his bike with Matt's help.  I lost his info when my phone was destroyed last year.
