How to make the SP sidestand more stable and convenient to use

In order to make my SP sidestand more convenient to use as well as more stable, a solution that worked well for me is to use the LM4 sidestand (Thanks Big Rick !).

.Some folks on this board like Brown sidestands and that's OK, but I was looking for Guzzi solution for a Guzzi problem. Both center stand and transmission through bolts needed to be a tad longer on my bike in order to have sufficient thread to fasten the sidestand mounting plate, (which, BTW may be the only sidestand part needed and the other items :stand, pivot bolt, springs and spring plate re-used from your existing sidestand >> Red Suspender info). The mounting plate

was not currently available so having a complete stand was helpful. This course of action might also work on other non Police stand, non Footboards Tontis, however YMMV based on exhaust used and other factors that might cause interference

Put one of those on a customer's SP after the "Brown sidestand" didn't fit correctly. Worked just fine and was $100 less costly even with shipping from TLM in Holland.

Yep, best thing you can do is pull the stock sidestand and chuck the POS and get a Brown. Mine works great on the LMIII

Just a quick revision to OP. Long through bolt (12mm) under tranny needs to be about 260mm . Center stand bolt about 55 mm. Both bolts 10mm longer in order to bolt up the sidestand plate correctly. A front engine bolt can be used by cutting additional thread then shortened as needed .
