Buying a new Guzzi

Step 1. Clearing it with the wife. This may take a while.

Ha!
I hemmed and hawed over a Norge until my wife begged me to just buy it and be done! It's all in the technique.  :thewife:

Looking at a Stelvio.

Two left over 2016's in Rosso Vulcano Red just came up the other day in Michigan at Fox Power Sports, each @ $11,499 sale price.

Kent, rather than boring people here either PM me or I'll fill you in on the Cheese board where Doug can chime in too. There are. Good points and downsides to a Stelvio but the downsides are mainly down to stature, yours basically, and strength.

Doug and I talked quite a bit about Stelvios at the Adirondack Rally.

That's probably one of the subjects that wouldn't bore anyone here, I would think.

You don't know my wife. There are other issues involved as well. This must be a joint decision.

I think you got it backwards...

Either way...ask or don't ask, it's really none of our business how you go about getting another Guzzi in the garage...just show us the pics when you land it!

About our wives it's important to know.... If they ain't happy we're not going to be happy.
Ya gotta do what ya gottta do.  :boozing:

On Hamlin cycles....I purchased from Jim last week and will fly up in August then spend  a few weeks wandering my way back to Florida. He's been easy to work with and comes highly recommended by many riders in the NE.

Where in upstate NY are you? I lived in the Rhinebeck/Kingston area for 38 years before retiring to Florida
and miss all the wonderful roads in the Catskill, White, Green, Adirondack, Pocono, Berkshire, mountains. I don't miss winters.

The cat's coming out of the bag. Oh, my. Jim is putting a V7 III together for me, too. May have it in time for our rally this  coming weekend.  R3~

@Roadscum. We live on the NY/VT border about 20 miles from Glens Falls. We just had our first winter here. Wasn't too bad. Mud season, though, we could do without.

That's a very beautiful area with great riding roads. I plan to pass through there, maybe a bit north of you, Whitehall to Lake Luzern, on my ride home next month. I ya wanta give Jim Hamlin a call and let him know you'll pick up a new bike from him on the 15th of August, we can travel together to NY.  Maybe Roeblings3 will join us and we'll have our own Guzzi Rally, after all it only takes three Guzzi's to have a Guzzi rally!!!!

I purchased both my Gizzis from Hamlin Cycles.
I don't think it's possible to have a better experience.

King o'! Am I gonna see you at Russell? Jim said he would try to have my bike ready for the rally. I agreed. He could make major points making a delivery there. (as if he needed more). Jim's skills and good nature precede him. I was on the fone with him when he was readying the Stelvio to go to Florida. We're tight. Though my son has known him much longer.   R3~

Only one more decent trip planned-the annual Columbus day weekend to WV.
The rest are all day rides-210 yesterday on the little sweet one AKA V7!

I got approval from the wife. The Credit Union gave theirs today and if nothing unforeseen happens, this will be in my garage in a few weeks.

It's perfect!  Enjoy.  I'm celebrating the 2 yr anniversary of purchasing my Stelvio today.  Mine is the Orange/Copper color, but that red is so damn sexy! If it wasn't for the bonus 5 extra hp you get with the Orange ones   I would have a red one.

I really like the extra wheelset, excellent purchase.
