How many liters does each Norge saddlebag hold?

I dont know the exact number, but Im guessing they are pretty close to 40L.  They are almost identical in size to the 40L Givi bags I have for my '02 LeMans.  Im sure it will be listed in some of the advertising specs. 

Between the two bags alone, I had plenty of room for all my clothes and, tools and camping gear on a recent trip from Florida to Canada.

I thought I had read somewhere that they were smaller than 40., maybe 32-35. That's why I was asking to see if someone had an exact size.

The way the handle and lock are placed takes away quite a bit of room toward the top.

If they are the same as the ones that first appeared on the Norge in 2006 (i.e. the Aprilia Futura bags) they are 29 litres.

They are larger than the Aprilia Futura bags as far as I recall - the Futura bags were closer in size and style to those on the Aprilia Caponord.

Looking at my 2008 Norge, I'd say the smaller bag is about 32-35 litres (exhaust cutaway), and the other is about 35-38 litres.

These must be the later version.  The earlier ones were identical both sides.

That seems right. 29 liters seems too small for one of the Norge bags.

The parts manual for the 2v Norge (2006-2009) calls them 40L for both left and right.  No volume is listed for the police spec side cases.

OK, I just compared two different parts manuals for the 2006-2008 bike. Both show the same part number for the grey bike's luggage. The earlier catalog shows 36 liter capacity, and the later catalog shows 40 liter capacity - for the same part number!

So, everyone's right (or wrong, but I prefer the positive approach  )

Both of the ones I have say GU083; the older one that quotes 36l says it is 'release 0.0' while the other doesn't have a release number at all. They also agree on almost all part numbers, though once in a while the updates between the 2007 and 2008 models lead to a difference (such as the rear shock assembly). The later one also includes all the part numbers for the police version.
