Thats a very nice, low mileage , unmolested looking bike. I wonder how much that  beauty will sell for?I am guessing in the 6-7K range.
Its a lovely bike, that i am sure would be a joy to own. :thumb:

So, what is the difference between the CX100 and an SP?

Nice bike.

So, what is the difference between the CX100 and an SP?

Mechanically? None. Visually/cosmetically? Totally different bodywork, seat, dash, etc.

The CX has clip ons and a smaller fairing, different seat.  You lean forward on the CX, not upright.   Your hands aren't cramped by the fairing like on a SP.  CXs top speed is 125 mph.

I have an `81.  When you no longer like the clip ons riding position you can put whatever other handlebar on it you prefer.  I currently have a euro touring bar on mine and took off the lowers, added a long side stand, Corbin seat, HB bags & top case, stiffer rear shocks for 2up riding and receiver for pulling my Unigo(1 wheel) trailer.

:1: also the SP1000 doesn't have LeMans on the rubber dash, pax grab strap or shorter windshield.

I'd sure like to see a picture of those euro touring bars. How does that work?

Thanks for all the info.   At first glance, it looked more like an SP than a Lemans (at least after looking at the LM1 and LM3).  To be honest, I've not done a lot of googling to see what the LM2 looks like for the rest of the world.   Is it the same as our CX100, or more in line with the LM1 and LM3?

In any case the bike in question, on eBay, looks great, I'd love to have it in my stable.   It is good it is a safe distance away!

The Le Mans 850 II for the rest of the world is virtually identical to our CX100 except for the engine.

It works great for me.  It's black and I still lean forward some, which my bad back appreciates. In fact at this point in my life if I can't lean forward some I need something to lean my lower back against to ride all day comfortably.  On my 3 maxi-scooters I made a back support out of wood/back pad to make them all day rideable since on them I sit upright like on a chair. Sadly I can't show you a pic but this week Tom is coming by and maybe he can take a pic of my CX and post it here.  It's called a euro touring handlebar sold by a USA outfit here and it's not expensive, like $30.  Don't remember what outfit I got it from but you should be able to find it @ a place like the Superstore USA in Oregon.
