I need some 120 VAC neon bulbs to complete repairs on a stereo component.
They are 0.147" diameter and 0.450" OAL, with wire leads and an 8K ohm resistor. My catalogs show a T1-1/4 with a diameter of 0.157" and OAL of 0.413", but it is rated at 65 VAC.
Anyone know where I can get these unicorns?
On the link I posted theres a video on how to identify the lamp, the guy just happens to have picked a T 1-1/2, very close to the one you are looking for.
I don't believe neons have a Voltage rating as such, like an LED you simply add the series resistor to burn up the excess Voltage. You must have an existing resistor you can measure.
I have found neons tend to fail after many years or the glass goes black, but then even LEDs don't last forever.
