Suggested ways to remove powder coating from steel parts?

I'm trying to cobble together some hard luggage mounts for a bike that no one makes them for. I picked up some mounts for a different bike and I've gut the parts cut down to about what I need so that I can take them to get welded. All of the stuff is steel and it is powder coated and I need to remove it. What would be your suggested ways to remove the powder coating at home without having a sand blaster?

I'd try paint stripper such as this:

I found out (the hard way) that some carb cleaners will soften/cause powdercoating to peel off.

A product named Aircraft Stripper takes it off. Available at automotive paint stores.

Powder coating is the biggest waste of time and effort I've ever seen. Well done paint lasts decades anyway and friends have had nightmares dealing with powder coated parts.

I bought a black powder coated handlebar and then found out my throttle wouldn't work on it because the HB was now too big. I got the PC off with a round wire brush attachment on my variable speed electric drill, but it took awhile to do it.

That Aircraft Paint Stripper and many others have a lot of Methylene Chloride in them. Take the warnings seriously about ventilation and keeping it off your skin. I know firsthand what it can to to you if you don't take them seriously.
