Another darn Adams Guzzi video (11/12ths of 2017)
« on: November 23, 2017, 02:53:55 PM »
Well, if you overlook the little hiatus while I recovered from triple bypass surgery, it wasn't too bad a year. There were no major trips this year, but plenty of fine riding into quiet and empty places - just the way I like it.  The link is legit.

I don't normally have the patience to sit through an entire you tube video, but that one was well worth it.  Really makes me miss riding in Ontario.

Very nice and inspiring video. Reminds me I need to go to Canada one day, what a beautiful country you're blessed with.

I'm also very impresssed about your riding determination. Most people would stay in the cage when the roads are covered with snow like in your video. How do you keep your bikes so nice? Are you not using salt on the roads in Canada like we do here? I put my bike in the garage when the roads gets white (this year Nov 19th) and normally don't get back until sometimes in March. But I'm of course just a rookie ;-)

It helps tremendously that the riding shots were short. Nothing is worse that 30 mins of video looking at some handlebars. Also keeping the overall video length to under ten minutes unless it's a riveting story is another guideline for a good video.

We're always happy to get another of those "darn Adams videos", and I enjoyed this one.

Always makes me nervous watching people ride on that patchy ice and snow on a two-wheeler.   I'll enjoy it vicariously, because me and my Centauro already went over like a mousetrap on that stuff once.

:1: Subscribed!  I'm glad to hear surgery helped, and you recovered quickly.  We hope to be able to explore, like you, when our youngest is old enough to "abandon" for the weekend.  Until then, we try to make the most of our day trips.  Thank you for the inspiration, and happy holidays!

Thanks you for the kind comments everyone - especially regarding the surgery (the videos are what they are  )

I feel absurdly well now, but was lucky to get fixed before any damage was done. Denial is a terrible thing - I delayed almost too long before going to the doctors to get checked out, even though at some deep level I knew that I shouldn't have been ignoring that tingling down my left arm........

So, if something doesn't feel quite right, don't hesitate..........

Happy belated Thanksgiving to all you US folks, and happy ordinary day to everyone else.

Nick

Thanks Nick, that was great.
I think you lucked out big time getting that surgery before any big events occurred. It sounds like you had an easier time of it than I did.
