New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
An interesting approach, but seemingly at odds with some things I've observed on my Norge. My GPS (mounted to the windshield supports) vibrates more than my mirrors in the stock locations. Also, my mirrors vibrate less(!) on the HeliBar risers (longer and higher) than they did on the factory risers. There's more to this than is obvious, apparently, but any shared experience is helpful to us all.
:1: Good for you! Anni doesn't have a fairing. Looking into her vibromirrors I can see there are vehicles behind, just not with any detail. Is the driver texting, looking my way, wearing a ski mask and brandishing an uzi? Eff if I know!
For anyone who's happy with the stock mirrors on their early Norge, there's no need to read on..But.Mine has had the handlebar mounted ones since new and I've been ok to accept that, up till now.Up to 100 kph, they are pretty much clear, but between 100 and 130 they become fuzzy, and above that they're useless. So here's the thing...I took the mirrors that JDGretz GAVE me and unscrewed the mirror from the mount. Then I ran a thread onto the end of the stem that has the blank reduction turned on the diameter and wound the stem back into the mirror.A suitable size hole bored through ONE side of the screen mount allows the (now reversed) mirror stem to be poked through the hole and a locknut placed on the inside. This results in mirrors that are fairing mounted and isolated from the "vibrations" at the handlebar ends.As the pics will show, I put a rubber sleeve between the stem and the fairing, to stop any tendency for the mirror to "wobble" as opposed to "vibrate", ( there is a difference). The mirrors are 700 mm outside to outside which is somewhat narrower than stock, but given that they are further from the eye, there is not much reduction in rearward peripheral view. I can see the corners of the top box in both mirrors simultaneously, I've accepted a slight trade off in field of view, for the gain in vibration free vision. To see completely behind while riding, I need to bring my elbow in slightly, but still better than the stock set up that I had on my MV Augusta F4.Anyway...Just thought I'd mention it.
No bloody point mate..Can't speak Italian !But for the record, I'll be there in 2019 and 2021.I'll have to Go Pro most of 2021, 'cos it's odds on that I won't remember much.
You won't be by yourself in 2021 that's for sure mateSent from my F8131 using Tapatalk
The last two times I've been over, the seat next to me on the A 380 has been empty...
You won't see that on flights from North America!
Sounds like you'd better change your brand of deodorant ha ha! Sent from my F8131 using Tapatalk
Halfway along the second line of your response GG, suggested a hundred lines of quippy banter fodder, but perhaps it's better that I don't.
