Knife laws in Canada are pretty simple... stay away from knives *designed* as weapons, and stick to knives that can plausibly be seen as "tools".
However, the second you use that tool as a weapon, it becomes a weapon in the eyes of the law.
Carrying a knife to be used for cutting rope, skinning game, opening boxes... not a problem at all. But if you wanna carry a mall ninja knife on your belt... well... expect attention.
