V7Racer...Looking Hard 4 Something 2 Complain About?
« on: March 31, 2018, 07:30:13 PM »
Just got back from my usual Sat AM ride on my 2012 V7R #198. I was serious about really having to look hard to find something to complain about re: this bike but there is something bothering me so let me throw it out and maybe find an answer?
It's the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER! The bike has all these beautiful crafted pieces (for the $$ paid) bike constantly gets compliments wherever I ride to. The instrument cluster just looks cheap! Hoping maybe someone feels the same way I do and did something about it ie: replace with one multi instrument, chg to white face dial whatever...........
I'm a very lucky guy with six bikes to choose from but this nagging complaint just won't go away!
Thx N Advance

So lets completely gloss over the 1950s suspension, average brakes and lack luster motor. These guys might be able to help, http://radicalguzzi.com/werbung

Speedhut makes some high quality, reasonably-priced instruments.  This speedo/tacho combo can replace a whole dash full of cable-driven, heavy and problematic traditional clocks.  I really enjoy the GPS speedo in my V50 because it is lightweight, simple to install (no wheel sensors), and dead-on accurate with speed and distance.  This can improve, simplify and add elegance to your dash.

Perhaps this might help a little: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fradicalguzzi.com%2Fwerbung&edit-text=

However, I saw one bike that the owner simply "dulled" the bright trim rings on the instruments to a satin finish with light application of a wire brush on a Dremel MotoTool, and it looked gorgeous. Cost nothing too.

No one hates Guzzi's more than Guzzi owners. Your sure came to the right place if you're determined to find things to complain about Guzzis.

Why don´t you simply switch the language? Take a look at the homepage.

They were at the Hamburg Motorcycle days this year with some very beautiful bikes (no wonder, they are from Hamburg). Without any doubts - the most beautiful bikes of all - says my friend, who rides a very early mint VFR 750.
Greetings from Germany!
