What is the best black paint to use on the brake disks to get that hipster dark look?

All the paint I have tried so far just rubs off in a few hundred miles. Need something more durable.

You can try turning the discs down below spec on a lathe. Then every time you brake they will overheat and eventually get that nice dark purpley color.??

Coat the rotors liberally with moly. That should give you the look you’re after.

Hold the brakes on tightly while you twist the throttle wide open...should take about 100 yards to blacken the rotors nicely...

Krylon BBQ Black works for me. Good friction coefficient and it's got that murdered-out look I'm going for...

I use deck paint with sand in it for extra grippage. Just bled the brakes on the katoom today. She’ll lock the rear wheel and rip up a trough of yard turf now. Braaaaap!

Keep drilling more holes in the disc(s).
Eventually there'll be bugger all metal left, and the lower mass will heat up quicker and resulting in that "abused" look you so desperately seek.
You can get it done at a shop for the "professional abuse" look, but I suspect you'll want to do it at home, preferring the "self abuse" method, I sense you're no stranger to the concept...

Even if you have no success with the drilling method, you can rest assured that because your now holey disc is as useless as tits on a bull, you'll crash into the next thing you brake to avoid, and the resulting post crash fire will heat your disc to the temperature you require to give it that shagged worn out pad " hipster" look.

What a woeful lack of imagination? The answer is simple. Remove the calipers, lines and master cylinders once the discs are painted. That way not only will the paint stay on but you clean all that ugly stuff off the end of the RH handlebar.

What a pack of dummies.

Krinkle black. I painted my Lemans disks krinkle red 25 years ago and despite a few chips its still there. Tough stuff.

The secret is painting the brake pads, so the paint transfers back to the rotor.
